My first project was a mini documentary I created for Elite Academy, a basketball academy. Their U16 team had reached the finals of the Cup of Flanders, and I followed their entire journey.
But this wasn’t a traditional documentary. I chose to break away from the usual structure and approach it in my own creative way shaping the narrative through feeling rather than convention. The rhythm of the music became the guide, carrying us through each moment, each shift in energy, each silence and explosion of emotion.
It captured not only their path to becoming state champions, but also the atmosphere, tension, and emotion that lived within it.
The project, titled “Finals Bound”, was later premiered marking my first step into a more expressive, cinematic form of storytelling.
